Back in 1994, Bill McLellan became exposed to Land Rovers through the chance meeting an OVLR member while working at Statistics Canada. Over time, this meeting lead to Bill going out and purchasing several different variations of Land Rover. We are most fortunate that Bill committed his thoughts to paper during this process. His diaries have since become available and reveal a touching account about how he went from complete ignorance about these magnificent machines to love. Such documented evidence for this transformation has never been seen before, though hypothesised. What also makes this interesting in another respect, is that Bill is an avid stamp collector, as was the chap from Statistics Canada.
